<p><em><strong>Every Photo is a Piece of He<font color="#ff0000">Art</font></strong></em></p><p>The Heart Gallery began in 2001 as a pilot program and brainchild of a dedicated foster and adoption recruitment specialist and an adoptive photographer.</p><p>Today, more than 100 Heart Galleries across the United States are recruiting, advocating and using the power of photography to capture the spirit of these special children seeking forever families.</p><p>Florida is proud to lead the nation in the development of new Heart Galleries accouting for unprecedented successes achieved in finding loving homes for our children in foster care.</p><p>In collaboration with the Governor's Explore Adoption campaign, all Heart Galleries from around the state participated in a collaborative exhibit to provide much needed exposure to the issue of adoption. Collectively, this exhibit brings the faces and voices of thousands of waiting children into the hearts and homes of Florida citizens.</p><p>The Heart Galleries<strong> </strong>across Florida provide public awareness of the need for adoptive families and more importantly help find permanent families for individual children. Volunteer professional photographers take portraits of children waiting for adoption for family recruitment purposes. Their photographs present the children in a way that a description alone never could! The result, many children have been adopted. </p>
